Understanding the well: logging, surveying and mud logging
Three ways of reading what is happening in the well.

Operators rely on several measurements to understand a well. Electric wireline logging measures formation and wellbore properties. Borehole surveying establishes the position and trajectory of the wellbore. Mud logging monitors drilling returns and drilling data as the well progresses.
Together they help operators check conditions against the plan and make informed decisions during drilling and completion.
